About Alexis Bellino
I never planned to end up on television. Honestly? I was just a girl from Missouri who moved to Orange County, fell in love with a man, had three kids, and somehow found herself surrounded by cameras. Life's funny that way.
Where It All Started
I grew up in a small town where everybody knew everybody. My mom worked two jobs. My dad fixed cars on weekends. We didn't have much, but we had dinner together every single night. That's something I carried into my own family later. Some things matter more than square footage or zip codes.
After high school, I packed a suitcase and headed west. California felt like a different planet. The palm trees, the traffic, the way people actually dressed up to go to the grocery store. I landed in Orange County and thought, okay, this is either going to be the best decision I've ever made or a spectacular disaster. Turned out to be both at different times.
The Housewives Years
In 2012, I joined the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 8. I remember the day I signed the contract. My hands were shaking. My husband at the time said, "You sure about this?" I wasn't. Not even a little bit.
Three seasons later, I'd learned more about myself than I had in the previous thirty years. The cameras catch everything. Every argument, every laugh, every mascara-running cry in a restaurant bathroom. You can't hide behind small talk when there's a production crew following you around Nordstrom.
Seasons 8 through 10 taught me resilience. They taught me that public opinion is a rollercoaster you can't control. They taught me that the women who seem the toughest on screen are often the most vulnerable off it. I'm grateful for every single episode, even the ones that made me want to throw my phone into the Pacific.
Alexis Couture
Fashion was always my thing. Even before the show, I'd spend hours sketching dresses on napkins at restaurants. My kids would roll their eyes. "Mom's drawing again." But those napkin sketches eventually became Alexis Couture.
I launched the brand because I wanted to create clothes that real women actually feel good in. Not sample-size fantasy pieces. Real clothes for real bodies. The kind of dress you put on and immediately stand a little taller. We started with a small collection. Twelve pieces. I hand-delivered the first orders from my garage.
Today, Alexis Couture is something I'm genuinely proud of. Every piece goes through at least four fittings before I approve it. I'm obsessive about fabric weight, about how a seam sits against the hip, about whether a neckline flatters or just photographs well. There's a difference. I want both.
Mom First, Everything Else Second
I have three children. They're the reason I get up at 5:45 every morning and the reason I collapse into bed by 10pm every night. Being a mom in the public eye is weird. Your kids hear things at school. They google your name. They have opinions about your Instagram posts. My oldest once said, "Mom, can you please stop posting so many selfies?" Fair point.
I try to keep their lives as normal as possible. We do homework at the kitchen counter. We argue about bedtime. We eat tacos on Tuesdays because that's our tradition and nobody is allowed to mess with Taco Tuesday. Not even Bravo.
What I Believe
I believe in showing up even when you don't feel like it. I believe that a good moisturizer can fix about 40% of your problems and a great friend can fix the other 60%. I believe that Orange County sunsets are proof that something bigger than us is out there painting the sky every evening.
I believe in second chapters. In reinvention. In the woman who walks through the fire and comes out the other side with better hair and a new business plan.
Thanks for being here. Whether you found me through RHOC, through Alexis Couture, or through some random Google search at 2am, I'm glad you're reading this. Stick around. We've got a lot to talk about.
